Recent Project Completion

Water Tank Removal

Facilitate Group recently decommissioned and removed an aged timber tank located in Mount Maunganui.

The tank, no longer in active service, needed to be safely dismantled with minimal disruption to ongoing site operations and full compliance with environmental and safety standards.

The project demanded careful planning and execution due to the tank’s structural instability and its location within a busy, operational area of the facility.

Project Objectives & Constraints

The project involved the staged demolition of an aged timber tank, with a focus on minimising disruption to site access and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Challenges included limited crane access due to nearby operations, the tank’s structural instability, and the need for high-risk work permits. However, close coordination with the client was essential to ensuring safety and minimising the impact on production.

Project Outcome

The project was completed on time and without incident, with all demolition activities carried out under strict safety supervision. Cranes were used efficiently for all lifting operations, and waste was managed on-site per the client’s requirements. Reusable materials were carefully palletised, while the remaining components were sorted and stored neatly for client inspection. A final walk-through with the client confirmed full satisfaction with the work completed.
